Psychology IBO Certificate in Standard Level
Exam board: IB
Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour. In this course we will examine behaviour from the biological, cognitive and sociocultural perspectives; examine abnormal behaviour and conduct a piece of psychological research.
Students will study this course for 5 hours a fortnight over 2 years. This will lead to an IBO DP certificate in standard level which is the equivalent level to an AS, although the top IB grade is worth 28 UCAS points, whereas the top AS grade is only worth 20 points. The course can be added as an extension course to A level or applied programmes or added as one of the two diploma options on the IB career programme.
